Taufulou came out to Hartamas
They are local baker that run by passionate husband and wife that focus on their extraordinarily local flavours.
That is Taufulou, who has been writing about food in this city for years and who made the trip out to our Desa Sri Hartamas shop rather than ordering in. We appreciate that more than we probably say. Someone who turns up in person sees the place, not just the cake in a box.
He worked through The Saint, Honolulu, 5 Shades of Chocolate, The Triple C, Hitam Manis and Puteri Jendol.
Puteri Jendol indeed taste like cendol which is also one of their best seller.
Getting a cendol cake to actually taste like cendol took Corina a long time, so that one sentence is worth a lot to us.
