Show Me Malaysia put us on their best-cakes list

In April 2026 Show Me Malaysia published a round-up of seventeen cake shops around the country, written by Rihan Kumar, and we were one of them.

It is a shorter mention than a full review, and we are in good company on that list. But of everything in it, this is the line we were happiest to read:

If you’re after something a bit different from your usual cake spot, Kuke Desserterie might be your next go-to. Their Puteri Jendol and pandan brulee bring local flavours into modern pastry form without overloading your sweetness.

Not overloading the sweetness is a deliberate choice and it costs us some customers who expect a dessert to be sweeter. So it is good to see it read as a feature rather than a fault. The two singled out were Puteri Jendol and Pandan Brûlée.
