Delivery of 5 Shades of Chocolate cake was perfectly on time. The family who received this cake absolutely loved it. The staff on their WhatsApp was excellent in explaining when why Midnight in Tokyo needed more advance notice but 5 Shades of Chocolate turned out well. Definitely will be back for more orders when I'm in KL.
Hard to decide which to get but went with the Puteri Jendol which tastes as yummy and light as it looks 💞 Found it a bit difficult to locate tho — head to the end of the road (near the fenced off construction) and go up the stairs!

It`s been a busy few weeks here at Kuke and our team have been working extra long hours to make sure that we are able to fulfil all of our orders. They will be taking a well deserved break during Chinese New Year. We will be back in our kitchen on 31 January to start baking for orders for 1 Feb.
Our Bangsar Village outlet will only be closed on Wednesday 29 January so feel free to drop by on 30 January onwards!

Since we opened our recent Bangsar Village outlet we have had to see 2 of our bakers leave and another 2 come in to take their place. I am heartened to have brought in 2 experienced bakers who have dabbled with decorating and they have been able to support the existing team to make some of our custom orders. As usual, custom cakes are not our thing but I am much more confident of the quality of work we can create. With time we should be able to support more of such requests but never forgetting that our cakes must continue to meet our exacting standards.
Customer cakes require a 2 week notice and will require additional fees for ingredients and time.

To commemorate the coming Lunar New Year we decided to pay homage to the ever present pineapple tart.
Yes, we decided to make a pineapple sugee cake - yes! An almond sugee butter cake with a pineapple filling! However we thought it could be better so to give it that extra oomph we added a cream cheese filling that mellows the pineapple compote and adds a velvety texture. It’s truly delicious and a lovely way to start the new year!
